Hi, I’m Vince Gasparro. I was born and raised in North York to Italian-Canadian parents and proudly call this riding home, alongside my wife and two kids. On April 28, 2025, I was honoured to be elected as the Member of Parliament for Eglinton–Lawrence and to serve as Parliamentary Secretary (Combatting Crime).
For over 20 years, I have dedicated my career to building a stronger future for my community and for Canada. My professional background spans both finance and government, where I have held a wide range of executive leadership roles.
As the Head of Sustainable Finance at Scotiabank’s Roynat Capital and Vancity – Canada’s largest Credit Union – I financed critical clean energy infrastructure projects across Canada. In addition to my work in finance, I served as Principal Secretary to Toronto Mayor John Tory and as a Special Assistant to Prime Minister Paul Martin.
I further had the privilege of serving on the boards of directors of the Canada Infrastructure Bank, Postmedia, World Wildlife Fund, and the Toronto Community Housing Corporation.
Environmental action has been central to my work. I represented Canada at the United Nations climate conferences, attending COP26 in the United Kingdom, COP27 in Egypt, and COP28 in the United Arab Emirates.
I hold an Honours BA from York University, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an Executive MBA from Villanova University.
