As the conflict in the Middle East drives up gas prices, our government is stepping in, focusing on what we can control, and suspending federal excise taxes at the gas pump, to make your life more affordable.
This change will see costs go down by 10 cents per litre of gas and 4 cents per litre of diesel and will last until September 7, 2026.
This measure will have a spillover effect, bringing down the costs of food and other goods and services.
